A habit tracker that comes to you on WhatsApp
Set up to three habits once. Every evening at 9:30pm, Half Nine sends three yes/no questions to your WhatsApp. You reply - it records your answer. Each Sunday evening, a summary of the week arrives in the same conversation.

How it works
Set up to three habits once
Tell Half Nine what you want to track - workouts, cooking at home, reading before bed, switching off on time. Anything with a clear yes or no answer. You can update them any time by saying so in the chat.
Three questions arrive at 9:30pm
Half Nine sends your questions to WhatsApp every evening. You reply yes or no. If a day is worth noting, add a line. It takes about 20 seconds and it comes to you whether or not you've thought about it.
Sunday: your week in one message
Each Sunday evening, a summary arrives in the same WhatsApp conversation. Your hit rate for each habit, any notes you added during the week, and a clear record of what actually happened. No login required.
What people track
Workouts, cooking at home rather than ordering, reading before bed, stopping work on time, getting outside, guitar practice, creative work. Anything that has a clear yes or no answer by 9:30pm.
What makes Half Nine different
Most habit trackers wait to be opened. A reminder bot will ping you but does not record whether you did the thing. Social accountability suits some people well and others not at all. Half Nine sits in a different place: it comes to you, asks what happened and records the answer. It is not a coach. It does not suggest workouts or tell you what to eat. It asks three questions and notes what you say.
| App tracker | Reminder bot | Social | Half Nine | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Comes to you | No | Reminder only | Depends | Yes |
| Private | Yes | Yes | No | Yes |
| App required | Yes | Yes | Sometimes | No |
| Records answer | Yes | No | Sometimes | Yes |
| Weekly summary | Varies | No | No | Yes |
Privacy
Your habits and answers are private. Half Nine uses AI to identify themes in any notes you add - no human reviews them. All data is stored in the UK on Google Cloud. Full privacy policy →
Missed days
A missed day is recorded as a miss. There are no red badges or broken-streak mechanics. The weekly summary shows you what actually happened across the week.
